“The great moments of your life won’t necessarily be the things you do. They’ll also be the things that happen to you. No, I’m not saying you can’t take action to affect the outcome of your life. You have to take action. And you will. But never forget that on any day, you could step out the front door and your whole life can change forever.
You see, the universe has a plan, kids. And that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings and it starts to rain. It’s a scary thought, but it’s also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working, making sure that you end up exactly where you’re supposed to be, exactly when you’re supposed to be there. The right place, at the right time.”

The Best Place On Earth
Pretend it was New York
We’d stroll through the Central Park
Felt the summer breeze touched my skin
While you were laughing on the jokes I made
Pretend it was London
It was raining hard when you took my hand
Put it inside your overcoat
Under the umbrella, we’d walk together
Pretend it was Paris
The street artists played some jazzy tunes
Fancy people passed by
As we kissed underneath the bright European sky
Pretend it was Tokyo
With snow falling on top of our heads
In a busy roadside booth
We’d eat ramen like there was no tomorrow
But it’s Jakarta
And we’re busy struggling for life
Even so, remembering that I have you
Holding my hand through the ups & downs
Makes this city the best place on earth
All I Ever Want In A Teen Movie

The size of the poster in this post equals how much I love this movie…. Nothing special about the story; two teenagers shared the same taste of music, met in a gig then joined a quest of missing friend and a mysterious indie band with a bunch of gay friends, then had sex. But I think nerdy-looking Cera blends with freaky-looking Dennings. And great indie songs (downloaded soundtrack instantly the morning after I saw the movie), dreamy New York City in the night with a twist of battered Yugo and a disgusting gum, will make you love this movie.
Just go along. Don’t expect this to be Juno monumental, because this is not Juno and never intended to be one.
