Yogurt for Lunch, People?

Seriously! What is it about this yogurt frenzy?

I went to Senayan City last weekend with my mom (yay! My Mom’s in the city!), so while being there, I thought I’d try this Sour Sally yogurt as well. Out of curiosity, of course… Well, okay! I wanted to try so I’d have something to say when people talk about it and not saying, “Ya ampun, lo belum nyoba?” or maybe the worst: being ‘kambing congek’ like this:

K: Lo suka ke Sour Sally yang di mana?
P: Yang di GI
eKa: (celingak celinguk)
K: Gw suka topping strawberry-nya, deh…
eKa: (telen ludah)
P: Lo suka yang ijo ga?
eKa: (joget-joget di belakang)
etc..etc…

At least that K friend of mine pronounces it with ‘Sour n Sally’. ‘Sour n Sally’??? You pretentious little bitch. I might haven’t tasted it but I sure know it’s called Sour Sally without ‘N’!

Back to last weekend. I went to its Senci store and found a long line like there was some kind of sembako charity or something. I mean, it’s about Rp 25.000 a cup! I might buy lunch as well! Well…there are real people buying it for lunch, anyway. But I’m not sure they really want it for lunch or they don’t have anymore option since they got robbed by that little fancy yogurt store. So, considering the irrational long line, I bought JCool yogurt instead. I cursed the fancy yogurt, but still bought it, even it was from a different brand, but the price’s not that far different…see the irony here? Apparently, I still care to know what’s happening in this pretentious city called Jakarta. In my defense, the yogurt tastes good; it’s like eating ice cream but not feeling ‘giung’ (Sundanese word for ‘too sweet’) and there are various kind of toppings.

Talking about JCool yogurt, I think they’re not being environment friendly by selling this product. Have you noticed the bowls? They’re made of solid plastic, I don’t have the heart to throw them away. Instead, I washed & reused them.
