Self-Esteem Mad Lib

21 04 2008

Do you know Mad Lib? It’s a word game where one player prompts another for a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story (Wikipedia). This is for example:

(Your name) (verb) apple.

You can fill:
Eka kick apple or Eka eat apple, like that.

This is a self-esteem mad lib from Glamour (May 2008 ) magazine:

Face it, (your name), you are about the greatest thing since (favorite food). No one else can (verb) like you can. Your best friend says your the (adjective)-est person in the world. Sure, you once (embarrassing thing you did), but you also (honorable thing you did). So, (favorite endearment), today is the day you’re going to stop beating yourself for being (negative adjective) and start loving yourself for being (positive adjective), (positive adjective), and (positive adjective). And if people give you a (adjective) time, just tell ‘em they can take their (noun) and (verb) it up their (body part)!

Mine goes like this:

“Face it, eKa, you are about the greatest thing since tuna-cheese sandwich. No one else can think like you can. Your best friend says your the boldest person in the world. Sure, you once freak out like a maniac, but you also get someone out of a tight spot. So, baby girl, today is the day you’re going to stop beating yourself for being whiny & melodramatical and start loving yourself for being upfront, dedicated, and independent. And if people give you a harsh time, just tell ‘em they can take their s**t and shove it up their face!”

Try it, it’s fun and it surely boost your self-esteem ^_^
